Perfect for all filter options, this specialty brew boasts a tempting combination of fruity and sweet notes. A classic and excellent example of a washed coffee from Rwanda. Clean, bright and well balanced.

HOW?

This makes a great AeroPress!

  1. Set up your AeroPress inverted!
  2. Add 16g medium fine grinds
  3. Pour on 220g 95 degree water
  4. Stir 3-4 times.
  5. Rinse paper in top cap and screw it in.
  6. Brew for 2 minutes
  7. Carefully flip with cup included and slowly plunge for 30 seconds!
  8. Enjoy!  


WHY?


In 2024, Rwamatamu Coffee gained international recognition at The Best of Rwanda coffee competition, where their washed lot secured third place out of 297 entries, with a cupping score of 90.71.

The following year in 2025, Rwamatamu one-upped themselves by coming second out of 300 with a score of 90.81 for their Mbare washed lot. Notably, this coffee was the only washed lot in the top 14 coffees, sitting 2.98 points above other lots in the washed category.
